My Story
I've always loved clothes and dressing up. One of my earliest memories has to be walking down the road with my mum to the shops and I was wearing a pair of her white heeled mules, age 3(ish). I always remember when her and my dad would go out and she'd come downstairs all dressed up, I couldn't wait to own a fur coat that smelt like cigarettes and perfume when I was older.
I've suffered with anxiety for most of my life and being bulled for most of my time at secondary school, I use my clothes as my armour. It's one of the reasons I became a personal shopper. It's really important to me that when we work together, you get that feeling of connecting, not only with me, but with what you wear. I want you to fall in love and get excited about an item of clothing when you know you feel good in it.

I never really knew what I wanted to do when I grew up and fell into the corporate world, full of grey suits, white shirts and ties. I knew it wasn't me, but I didn't know why. I'd turn up to work in my bright orange trousers and the highest heels and i'd get teased for it, but I really enjoyed getting dressed up for work. For anything really.

Shoes are my thing, heels specifically. I believe we all have a thing, be it shoes, bags, jackets, we all have that one item that we can't resist. I decided to learn how to make shoes and once i'd opened my creative flood gates, I knew I couldn't go back to such a grey corporate world. The shoe thing didn't work out, but what it did, was make me realise I enjoyed getting creative and so, realising I was actually pretty good at helping friends and family with shopping dilemmas and being asked where certain items I wore came from, I decided to take that further and studied styling with the British College of Professional Styling and qualified in 2012.

For reasons unbeknown to me and I blame my always feeling a bit like I don't fit, I don't work in the same way as other stylists. Yes, I adore clothes, how they're made, what they're made of, I can't walk past an item in a shop without touching it, but I don't like how fashion is ruining our planet. My services have been created initially to make you a better, happier shopper, feel confident and empowered in your own style and teach you how to shop your shape, but I also want to introduce you to more considered brands, whether that's shopping independent brands with an ethical ethos or introducing you to vintage and preloved fashion.

I love getting excited when i'm with my clients and they step out of a changing room and before they've even looked in the mirror, the know they feel amazing in what they're wearing. We may have a knowing smile, a high five or a dance. I'm my clients biggest champion for the small wins and no change is too small if it gets them one step closer to the style they long for.

I live in Leigh on Sea in Essex and we have some superb small businesses on our high street. Supporting local is something I'm really passionate about and love mooching around the shops and chatting with the business owners. I also enjoy being by the beach and you will often find me by the sea, littlest in tow, coffee in hand. Finally, I have a huge and rather healthy obsession with 80's music and can often be found, prancing around the kitchen embarrassing or sometimes dancing with my 2 children.
